Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design a model for preventing organizational silence among faculty members of Islamic Azad University. The current research is one of the qualitative researches, it is of the foundation data theory type. And the participants in the research were faculty members of Islamic Azad University, and the required data were collected through in-depth interviews with 25 professors who were selected by theoretical sampling. Data with semi-structured in-depth interview, collection, and simultaneously with selective procedures in three stages of open, central and selective coding; It was analyzed by Strauss and Korben method. Then, in the central coding stage, the link between these categories was determined under the headings of causal conditions, central phenomenon, strategies, contextual conditions, intervening conditions, and consequences. The findings showed that 777 initial codes were obtained in the first stage. In the selective coding, these concepts were converted into 444 classes and finally 75 main categories were extracted, each of which was placed under the categories of the systematic model (causal conditions, central phenomenon, strategies, contextual conditions, intervening conditions and consequences).
